Seven West Media is the leading, listed national multi-platform media business based in Australia comprising Seven Television; Pacific Magazines, the country's second largest magazine group by readership; as well as Western Australia's leading newspaper, The West Australian and associated WA regional newspapers and radio stations.
Seven's leading public affairs program, The Morning Show, is looking for university students in their final year of study to participate in a month long internship program, based at Martin Place.
During your internship, you will support and assist The Morning Show team on a full-time basis (9.30am-5.30pm Monday to Friday) with their daily tasks. This will included researching, news gathering and editing, guest greeting, sourcing props and talent, as well as learning and training on our internal systems and procedures.
This is an unpaid work experience opportunity that will give you valuable journalism and broadcast experience, as well as the opportunity to be involved in the whole television production process and make valuable contacts in the industry. The internship may also lead to the opportunity for successful applicants to be considered for future roles or freelance work.
To apply for this internship you must be a final year Journalism student, have a passion for news and entertainment, a creative approach as well as a strong work ethic.
The month long internship positions are available throughout the year. Internships will not run concurrently with other students.
