A new and exciting opportunity has opened for a Head of Commercial Data to join the Seven Digital Sales team.

The Head of Commercial Data works closely with the Audience Intelligence team to determine the most relevant and profitable ways to commercialise audience data and analytics. Audience Intelligence team are responsible for the build and delivery of 7REDiQ and the Commercial data team are responsible for delivering the strategy, market narrative, training and processes.

Based in Eveleigh and reporting to the Network Digital Sales Director, you will focus on:

Product Development:

  • Design, prioritise, communicate and execute a clear commercial data strategy and product roadmap for SWM encompassing linear and digital platforms. This includes productising the opportunity for customers
  • Design, scope, build and execute scalable and repeatable data products that traverse linear and digital, generating business impact for clients and value for SWM
  • Lead in the development and execution of SWM’s future trading vision
  • Work alongside technology, research, broadcast and digital teams to create data led approaches for cross screen trading
  • Work with legal to ensure all commercial data products are legal and compliant

Project Management

  • Review and contribute to existing commercial data strategy, ability to prioritise key initiatives to maximise revenue delivery
  • Influence to work with multiple cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects


  • Develop SWM reputation both internally and in market as a data driven, progressive media organisation with a clear roadmap for transforming the trading model
  • Remain abreast of trends in data commercialisation and help formulate SWM’s strategy and response to evolving legal and social frameworks
  • Be an active contributor to industry initiatives such as VOZ and VPM through various industry working groups


  • Develop the commercial data capability of Seven West Media so that knowledge is democratised across the business
  • Lead internal and external process development with other stakeholders within SWM

Clients and Partnerships:

  • Work in market alongside sales teams to build client data strategies that enhance ROI, deliver lasting business impact for clients and generate revenue and enduring relationships for SWM
  • Identify and execute commercially successful Second and Third party data partnerships


  • Ensure all commercial data initiatives have a sharp lens on revenue impact
  • Identify and demonstrate the effectiveness and ROI of commercial data
  • Represent SWM in market as a trusted advisor and SME (commercial data)
  • Base understanding of market players (Adobe, LiveRamp etc…)

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Proven experience as a senior data leader, delivering business value from data
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience with key tech media platforms and eco-systems (GA, SSP, DSP, DMP, CDP)
  • Understanding of market & client engagement
  • Strategic thinking: understand how future trends can impact product roadmap to maximise revenue opportunities
  • Key Influencer: work with multiple stakeholders to generate adoption of commercial data strategy
  • Clear understanding of market needs and be able to pivot and respond based on changing marketing landscape
