The West Australian is looking for a passionate journalist to join our team in the Canberra Press Gallery at Parliament House in the role of Senior Political Reporter.
You’ll be reporting on Federal Politics and cover issues from health through to indigenous affairs, resources and national security.
You will be motivated, hardworking and a team player.
As part of your role you will be required to attend press conferences, report on day-to-day news and investigate some of the biggest political issues shaping our nation.
Good people skills are a must, as is the ability to file clean copy. In addition to bringing the news to close to half a million readers daily, you will also be required to file for online where necessary.
Once international travel resumes you may be required to attend international conferences on occasion.
You will have a passion for current affairs and politics and a willingness to keep learning.
The role will report to the Federal Political Editor.
- Minimum seven years’ experience in journalism
