We have an exciting opportunity for a People and Culture Business Partner to join our fun and collaborative People & Culture (P&C) team at Seven. This role is based across our Martin Place and Eveleigh offices, with a hybrid of office and remote working.

Reporting to the People and Culture Manager in Melbourne, this is a true business partnering role where you will be fully entrenched in the business as a trusted advisor to your groups. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive, timely advice and support to leaders and employees across all areas of the employee lifecycle. You will also have opportunities to lead and help implement new and exciting People Experience initiatives across Seven in collaboration with the wider P&C team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • acting as a main point of contact for the News & Public Affairs teams in Sydney, and nationally as required
  • supporting leaders with matters across the entire employee lifecycle including, but not limited to resource planning, performance management, grievances, personal illness and injuries, and recruitment where required
  • building P&C’s profile and services within the business
  • interpreting and providing advice on workplace EBA and Awards
  • working with business leaders on talent management, learning and development, succession planning and team engagement
  • providing advice on P&C policies and practices
  • working with Finance on resource planning in line with budgets and forecasts

You are someone who has:

  • A passion for media
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline;
  • Demonstrated Business Partnering or Senior Advisor experience in a fast-paced environment;
  • A can-do attitude and can demonstrate capability and maturity to take ownership of complex matters
  • A strong understanding of employment legislation, it’s interpretation, and implementation. Experience working with an EBA would be ideal
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Project Management and facilitation skills are also highly desired.
  • Strong communication skills and negotiation skills
