We have an exciting opportunity for Casual Senior Producer to join our News team based at Martin Place. This role specifically is working on our late-night news offering, The Latest.
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Previous experience in a Producing role in a radio or television newsroom
- Exposure to working within a control room environment
- Be able to formulate a news rundown
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Producer you will be responsible for producing news stories to a high broadcast standard whilst utilising creativity and an original approach. This will involve assisting in crafting bulletins, chasing interviews and writing news stories.
This role involves a daytime shift on weekdays, however occasional night shifts and weekend work may be required.
ABOUT THE PERSON
We are looking for someone who is an enthusiastic self-starter, with excellent research and writing skills and a high level of attention to detail.
You will also be able to demonstrate an ability to think clearly and act quickly under pressure. You will have a passion for television journalism and be able to work effectively and professionally as part of a team. A solid understanding of media law and ethics is required.
