Supporting the Group Financial Reporting team, comprising financial accounting and the tax team, the Graduate Accountant will perform a wide variety of tasks across internal and external financial reporting, tax procedures and returns (e.g. income tax, GST, FBT etc) and other tasks supporting the wider finance team. 

 

You will be:  

  • Supporting the preparation of external and statutory reporting including half-year and annual reports. 

  • Managing month end financial accounting and reporting, consolidation entries and balance sheet reconciliations. 

  • Supporting the preparation of monthly and annual tax returns including GST, PAYG, Income tax, FBT and withholding tax. 

  • Supporting other statutory reporting requirements, such as payment times reporting, sustainability and modern slavery. 

  • Assisting with the development and rollout of financial accounting and tax procedures and reports. 

  • Involved in project work related to process improvement, tax and accounting reporting changes. 

  • Providing reports and analysis as required to assist with reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes. 

  • Partnering with the business to support other financial related procedures, processes and initiatives.  

 

We'd love you to have: 

  • The ability to multitask and take on a wide variety of tasks. 

  • Strong data analysis and excel modelling skills. 

  • The ability to form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • A strong ‘can do’ attitude and ability to work with multiple stakeholders and tasks. 

  • Excellent organisation and administration skills 

  • The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines. 

  • Relevant university qualification preferred or in the process of gaining relevant qualifications
