The Opportunity:

A new and exciting opportunity has opened for a Video Editor to join the Seven News Team. This role is ideally suited for someone new to the industry who is eager to build a career in news production.

Based at our Eveleigh head office in Sydney, and reporting to the Media Operations Manager, you will be responsible for video editing news stories and liaising with Producers and Reporters to achieve Seven’s required look.

About You:

You will be an experienced Video Editor with an interest in news and current affairs, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a team-oriented spirit. You will work closely with our talented team to creatively bring our ideas to life. If you are a dynamic, positive individual who excels in a fast-paced environment and has a drive to create a quality product. We invite you to join us and make an impact on our audiences!

You will have:

  • A background in video editing, either through formal education, online courses, or practical experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year’s experience editing news footage or similar
  • Quantel, Adobe or Avid editing systems experience
  • A dynamic work ethic, creativity and fast, accurate editing skills
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines
