A new and exciting opportunity has opened for a Software Engineer- Mobile to join the Seven Product Solutions team. The Product Solutions team is innovators, creatives, and problem solvers. Based in Eveleigh, Sydney, and reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will be across the following tasks:
- Designing, developing and testing innovative solutions for our iOS and Apple TV platforms.
- Collaborating in an Agile Scrum team of like-minded individuals to deliver on sprint goals.
- Contributing to peer reviews and providing constructive feedback to your peers.
- Maintaining and enhancing our CI/CD pipelines.
- Continuously challenging and improving standards, procedures and technologies by providing recommendations and collaborating with other team members.
- Working with business stakeholders, Product and your Scrum team to come up with the best solutions for 7plus users.
- Applying the appropriate development techniques and practices to a problem given the constraints of time, scope, requirements and budget.
- Collaborating with the team in estimating upcoming work.
- Performing all work in accordance with company policies, programs, standards and procedures.
About You:
You will be an experienced Software Engineer- Mobile with exceptional interpersonal communication skills, innovative, proactive, optimistic, tech-savvy, a team player, keen to detail, flexible, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
You will have:
- Have at least 3 years of experience as a mobile developer.
- Are a specialist in native iOS / Swift development.
- Have solid experience consuming complex APIs.
- Are confident with object-oriented / application design principles and apply them in creating extensible, reusable and clean code.
- Are familiar with UIKit and/or SwiftUI and their application in the MVVM pattern.
- Have a strong understanding of the Apple ecosystem including build and certificate management and release processes.
- Have experience with various types of software testing, from unit testing to UI tests.
- Understand build tools and value DevOps culture.
- Love creating pixel-perfect interfaces across different devices in accordance with design specifications and best-practice UX principles.
- Are keen to learn as well as share your knowledge with team members.
- Have an interest in the continuous improvement of yourself and your team.
- Stays up to date with the latest technologies and trends.
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience with Android ecosystem / Kotlin language.
- Experience working within cross-functional Agile teams.
- Media player/media industry/video experience.
- Experience with Objective-C.
- Our stack utilises technologies such as: RxSwift, Combine, Firebase, Azure DevOps. Experience in any of these areas will be a bonus.
