Seven’s WA regional operation is looking for a News Editor to oversee and manage the Newsroom journalists and operations.

Reporting to the Director of Regional News, you will:

  • Provide leadership to all WA Regional News staff across the state, including Bunbury, Albany, Perth and Geraldton to the highest standards of professionalism and personal integrity.
  • Oversee the administration of the WA regional journalists
  • Ensure the WA Regional bulletin is produced on time and to the highest possible standards regarding content, production and on-air presentation.
  • Provide day to day leadership and direction to all News staff located in reginal WA, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and manage any other News services, programs and facilities for which the company may from time to time enter into contractual arrangements.
  • You may also be required to present news updates and some bulletins from time to time

We are seeking someone with:

  • Strong knowledge of the regional news environment.
  • Knowledge of television production.
  • Demonstrated leadership.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative and productive relationships.
  • Drive, tenacity, and results driven attitude.
  • Assertiveness and ability to work in high pressure, fast paced environment.
  • High level problem solving, organisation and time management skills.
  • High level oral and written communication skills.
