An exciting opportunity exists to join our iconic newspaper brand, The West Australian, as a Sales Forecasting & Reporting Coordinator within the Customer Engagement team.
If you enjoy using data to find recommended solutions to business questions, and feel at home analysing trends in large datasets to forecast sales results – then this is the role for you! Play an important part in optimising sales results across our retail network.
We are looking for a candidate with 1-2 years experience within a sales analysis or similar role, conducting trends analysis and data reporting.
You must be able to couple your technical skills with a collaborative and consultative approach to deliver optimal results.
About the Role
- Examine weekly data trends to adjust supply volumes
- Forecast impact of promotions and events
- Build dashboard reporting for sales teams and area managers
- Perform ad hoc analysis and report using Excel, PowerBI and other tools
- Collaborate with team members to use data to support meaningful recommendations
About You
- You have gained valuable experience for 1-2 years in working in a data based role (essential)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with PowerBI (essential)
- Solid experience manipulating large data sets to make recommendations
- Ability to think creatively in order to solve problems and produce business insights through reporting
- Strong time management, able to work autonomously with team direction
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with a wide variety of stakeholders
