We are looking for fun and energetic casual Printers to join our Newspaper Production team. This is an exclusive opportunity to work locally in our iconic, modern and automated print media factory in Osborne Park. Our facilities are at the forefront of modern innovation and working as part of this team will give you exposure to all these facilities. To ensure operations we operate on 24 hour shift schedules. As a Printing Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing machinery to produce high-quality prints according to our specifications. You will help deliver products that our consumers know and love.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- The operation, maintenance and cleaning of KBA double width and single width newspaper presses
- Monitoring print quality and adjusting settings as necessary to ensure consistent results
- Collaborating with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of printing jobs
- Following and adhering to safe-work instructions and procedures
- Administration and Reporting
You successful candidate will possess the following:
- Qualified Printing Machinist
- Heatset experience is desirable
- Newspaper experience desirable
- The ability to run presses in a Press Foreman capacity
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
- Ability to work well and thrive in a team environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong commitment to work, health and safety
- Available for shift work and work on weekends
