The Opportunity:

Join our dynamic and collaborative team of passionate technicians powering the heart of Sunrise, The Morning Show, and 7News! As a Broadcast Support Technician, you'll be at the forefront of the latest technology, ensuring seamless operations for our esteemed programs. From installation to maintenance, you'll play an instrumental role in keeping our studio and Field/ENG production equipment, and broadcast infrastructure running smoothly.

Based in Eveleigh in Sydney and reporting to the Broadcast Support Manager you will:

  • Administer and support IT Systems used for broadcast applications, such as video servers, editing platforms, graphics systems, newsroom management and automation

  • Repair and maintain equipment such as cameras, monitors, routers, microwave and satellite links, communications systems, and vision and audio mixers

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of electronics and of the administration of Windows and Linux operating systems and IP networking fundamentals

  • Develop upon your networking or IT install and project management experience (ST 2110 experience is an advantage)

  • Work within rotational shift work, including night and weekend shifts

About You:

  • Calm under pressure, with logical and systematic approaches to problem-solving

  • Customer-focused and take ownership of problems and projects

  • Curious about technology and pay close attention to the nuance of each system

  • A strong communicator, well organised with documentation skills

  • Physically fit for manual handling of heavy or bulky equipment

  • Formal qualifications in electronics, engineering or IT would be highly regarded
