The Opportunity:

As a Producer for our Brisbane News Team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of news and entertainment for Seven Network in Brisbane.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside iconic household names and passionate professionals while experiencing the magic of your favorite news, sports, and entertainment shows. The fast-paced, rapidly evolving media industry will allow you to thrive and make a real impact on the lives of everyday Australians.

Reporting to the Director of News in QLD, you will primarily be responsible for developing and creating high-standard segments whilst utilising your creativity and original approach. Other responsibilities will include:

  • line-up producing
  • subbing scripts
  • setting the direction for the day and providing guidance to the Reporters

Please note, this is a permanent position with a 45-hour week shift pattern.

About You:

You are an experienced Producer with a passion for storytelling, you possess exceptional interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a keen eye for detail. Your creativity, resourcefulness, and collaborative spirit allow you to work seamlessly with teams and stakeholders. Your self-motivation and innovative approach ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively, always striving to deliver compelling narratives.

You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in a producing role, in a radio or television newsroom.
  • An eye for detail and accuracy
  • The ability to respond to breaking news.
  • Contribution of innovative ideas and a passion for entertaining and engaging television content.
  • A solid understanding of media law and ethics.
