Seven West Media is looking for a driven and talented Intermediate Financial Accountant to join our team. About the Role:
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Monthly Financial Reporting:
- Creating and processing journals
- Performing reconciliations (Bank & Balance Sheet)
- Analysing financial results to drive key business insights
- Calculating prepayments, accruals, and cost allocations
- Managing intercompany recharges with Group entities
- Compliance and Taxation Support:
- Approving corporate credit card finances
- Assisting with half year and year end audit queries
- Preparing FBT schedules to support Group submission of returns
- Supporting income tax schedules and BAS reporting
- Ad Hoc Projects:
- Supporting team with fixed asset and Telethon accounting
- Other ad hoc accounting tasks
About You:
You’re a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a passion for accounting and problem-solving. You’ll bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or currently working towards your CA/CPA)
- At least 2 years of industry experience
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Expertise in Excel and financial reporting
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A keen eye for detail and the drive to deliver high-quality work
- Excellent communication and professional presentation skills
