The Opportunity:

As our Test Lead for Workday at Seven, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of a major technology transformation program. You will oversee the entire testing lifecycle, driving quality assurance and contributing to the sustainable growth of Seven Network.

In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between internal teams and vendor testing teams, ensuring smooth communication, defect prioritisation, and effective User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Your expertise in test management, planning, execution, and vendor collaboration will be key to maintaining high-quality deliverables. You will be working with key business, project teams, program stakeholders, vendor test teams, external partners, and solution providers.

This is an initial 8–12-month contract position.

Based at our head office in Eveleigh, Sydney, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and managing test strategies, plans, and cases based on project requirements, leading test teams through all stages of testing.
  • Estimating testing effort, identifying resource needs, and establishing test policies to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring it meets business needs, and assisting with creating UAT test cases and scripts.
  • Supporting business teams with End-to-End (E2E) testing to verify system functionality and performance.
  • Leading defect triage, working with vendors on defect resolution, and tracking testing progress, including defect status and risks.
  • Ensuring smooth test execution across various platforms, including Imagine Communication, Salesforce, AWS, and Technology One products.

About You:

You are an experienced Test Lead with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a keen eye for detail. You are a proactive, innovative, collaborative, and a natural problem-solver who can work autonomously in high-pressure environments. You are tech-savvy, a dedicated team player, and adept at translating technical details into clear and concise messages.

If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and are ready to take on a dynamic role where your expertise will make a real impact, we would love to hear from you!

You will have:

  • 5–10 years of experience as a Test Lead on HRIS/Payroll projects, especially in complex or large-scale technology transformations.
  • Experience with automated, semi-automated, and manual testing methods.
  • Workday experience (preferred but not required).
  • Proven ability to create test strategies, plans, and cases that meet business needs.
  • Strong vendor management skills, including overseeing vendor testing, defect analysis, and resolution.
  • The ability to drive continuous improvement in testing processes and quality.

Desirable:

  • A solid understanding of Agile methodologies, with Agile certifications (Scrum Master, SAFe Agile, or Agile Tester).
  • ISTQB Certification (Foundation Level or higher) and knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks.
