The Opportunity:
As a Sports Sales Executive at Seven, you will be a driving force behind the triumph of our sports broadcasting division. Your passion for sports and sales will find a rewarding outlet in this dynamic role.
In this role, you will be responsible for the successful sale of advertising airtime into Seven Network’s sport content lineup, and for formulating and implementing strategies and communications through our cross-platform sports assets to assist the Network to meet and exceed its revenue goals and market share and to enhance the Seven brand.
Based in Eveleigh, Sydney, and reporting to the Sports Sales Manager, you will be across the following tasks:
- Drive revenue growth through effective use of the sport portfolio and Seven assets, while managing end-to-end sales solutions and ensuring timely and successful delivery of client campaigns.
- Build, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with agencies and clients to position Seven as a trusted media partner and secure repeat business.
- Collaborate with the Sport Sales Manager and central teams to develop and execute plans that meet sport sales and yield targets across broadcast and digital platforms.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure smooth campaign execution, mentor sales coordinators, support team culture, and uphold a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
- Maintain a professional, responsive, and proactive approach in all client and agency dealings, ensuring consistent, high-quality service and communication.
- Monitor market trends, provide insights into management, and contribute to sales strategies and go-to-market plans with clear and timely reporting.
About You:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sports Sales Executive with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. You will be autonomous, driven, proactive, and entrepreneurial, with a problem-solving mindset and a strong customer-oriented approach. You should be solution-focused, client relationship-driven, optimistic, collaborative, and have strong attention to detail. To be successful in this role, it requires someone highly organized, respectful, innovative, and possesses a sales-oriented and adaptable mindset in a fast-paced environment.
You will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Media, or Communications.
- 3+ years Media experience in a publisher, client, or agency environment, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Proven experience selling broadcast and/or digital media solutions in an agency environment, including Video, Display, Social, Branded Content, Mobile, Data, and Programmatic—along with a solid understanding of the unique strengths and roles of each channel.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that drive exceptional results.
- Strong network of agency and brand relationships, with a proven ability to influence mid-level decision-makers across both agency and client-side environments.
- In-depth understanding of the marketing funnel and media strategy to achieve client campaign objectives.
