Ready to run the whole production from client brief to final cut with full creative control?
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a full-time Senior Producer to join our team and play a key role in liaising with internal and external stakeholders to cost, make and supervise all aspects of commercial TV production.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the broader Hobart team and will report directly to the Sales Manager in Hobart. Productions don’t always run regular business hours, and we need someone dependable, organised, and calm under pressure. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
What you’ll do:
- Own the full production journey by liaising directly with clients to shape their vision, managing expectations along the way, and making sure every project hits the brief, the budget, and the deadline.
- Steer creative direction by writing, refining, or overseeing scripting, managing pre-production, leading on-set decision-making, coordinating crews and schedules, and handling all aspects of filming and audio to meet top-tier broadcast standards.
- Shaping edits with your creative feedback to checking final content against network specs, ensuring every frame is polished, compliant, and delivered on time.
- Be across everything: shooting, editing, audio, invoicing, budgeting, delivery and comfortable jumping in wherever needed to keep production moving forward.
What you’ll bring:
You’ve got a can-do attitude and a friendly, approachable demeanour that makes people feel at ease. You communicate clearly and respectfully, whether it’s in person, over email, or on the phone, and will always aim to represent 7Tasmania in a positive, professional way. You must have a valid driver’s licence and be open to working flexible hours. You’ll also have:
- Proven track record in all aspects of commercial production for broadcast TV including filming, audio, editing and invoicing.
- Experience liaising with internal teams and external clients, from briefing to delivery.
- Background in writing scripts, developing creative content, and accurately costing for quotes.
- Strong project management skills which include briefing editors, managing CAD approvals, and updating Smart Sheet.
