Advertising Manager - Pilbara

Lead the advertising team for Western Australia's two North West newspapers, Pilbara News and North West Telegraph!

We’re looking for a Regional Advertising Manager to drive our commercial success across both print and digital platforms. Based in the Pilbara region, you'll lead a sales team serving the business communities of Karratha and Port Hedland, two key WA towns. This role combines your local market expertise with strategic leadership to grow our advertising partnerships throughout the Pilbara region.

Key Responsibilities:

In this exciting role, you will:

  • Drive advertising revenue growth across our print and digital platforms
  • Lead and mentor a local sales team, ensuring they have the tools and support to excel
  • Develop strong relationships with local businesses 
  • Create and implement effective advertising strategies 
  • Manage advertising schedules and deadlines
  • Analyse market trends and opportunities specific to the Pilbara region
  • Monitor and report on revenue performance against targets
  • Foster a positive team culture that promotes excellence and collaboration

What You’ll Bring:

We’re looking for someone who:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in sales leadership is desirable or considerable sales/customer service experience 
  • A qualification in Business is desirable 
  • Proven experience in customer relationship management 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build sustainable relationships across all levels of the organisation with a consultative approach 
  • Outcomes focused with drive to meet and exceed desired revenue targets 
  • Excellent people manager and coach with demonstrated resilience 
  • Proven self-starter and ability to drive, nurture and motivate a team to achieve
