What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role you’ll report directly to the Head of Audience & Digital Growth. You’ll play a fundamental role in implementing our growth plans and will be responsible for devising and delivering acquisition & retention strategies across our broad range of products and brands that will champion the customer at every step.

With a keen eye for detail, a performance mindset and an ability to work with multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously, the Digital Growth Manager has an acute understanding of both short and long term success and will play a pivotal role in implementing successful go-to-market plans for all our brands.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceive & deliver the overarching Acquisition & Retention Marketing strategy for The West Australian, and our other brands.
  • Bring a naturally curious mind, with a thirst for data and a passion for using insight to drive business priorities and decision-making
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal business units including Editorial, Data & Analytics and Product Development
  • Optimise customer journey. Collaborate with Customer Lifecycle Manager to enhance the customer journey, identify pain points, and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Track & monitor key metric performance across all activity and actively suggests improvement & optimisations where relevant. Includes working with Data & Analytics team to produce dashboards for the Marketing team’s requirements
  • Conceive and deliver strategies to drive new audience growth through organic channels across our brands, with focus on social media
  • Own the annual communications calendar by brand and works cross-functionally to ensure key deadlines and targets are met
  • Works closely with the creative team to deliver best-in-class media & creative executions that help drive engagement with our brands.
  • Manage and deliver efficient briefs for both media and creative – includes digital, online, social, print, TV, radio and other channels where relevant
  • To create and share insightful post campaign reviews to help inform future work
  • Conduct market research. Stay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities, target new customer segments, and refine digital marketing strategies.
  • Assist where required on events and activations

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in marketing
  • Boasts strong communication skills, great attention to detail, project management skills and excellent storytelling capability
  • Have previously worked in digital marketing and has a strong understanding of how to optimise a sales funnel or online conversion.
  • Experience in digital marketing platforms, Google Analytics, CRM & Salesforce are desirable.
  • A strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and analyse data.
  • A demonstrated ability to collaborate and passion to work with multiple disciplines, encourage others to share knowledge to achieve common goals.
  • A strong business, customer and technical problem-solving mindset with the ability to apply structured thinking and the simplification of complex problems
  • Ability to draw alignment across diverse teams and outside organisations
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and quickly learn new technologies and tools.
  • Experience in building and growing brands through social media
  • Have a sound understanding of advertising with digital media platforms (SEM, SEO, GDN, Meta)
