The Opportunity:
Are you an experienced Application Specialist ready for a new challenge? We're expanding our collaborative and passionate IT team and looking for an Application Specialist to join us on a full-time basis in Canberra.
As our Application Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in implementing, managing, and enhancing our Broadcast Management System platforms and related technologies. Your focus will be on ensuring flawless technical operations and delivering high-class IT application services to our valued customers. Reporting to the IBMS Platform Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing technical support for Broadcast Management System platforms and integrations, including IBMS and Imagine Landmark applications
- Executing tasks for IT and business projects
- Designing application solutions for high availability, resiliency, integrity, and security
- Ensuring controlled changes to maintain stability and security.
- Managing IT processes including Incident, Request, Change, Problem, and Knowledge Management
- Resolving incidents, problems, and service requests escalated from the Service Desk
- Developing processes, documentation, and knowledge management for IT and business applications
- Maintaining a high level of knowledge across IT business applications and driving continuous improvement in the application environment
About you:
You’ll be an experienced applications specialist with excellent communication and relationship building skills – both internally and externally with managing vendors, be adaptable and flexible to new business environments and be a positive and collaborative team player.
You will have:
- Proven experience as an Application Specialist supporting enterprise Broadcast Management systems
- Experience managing and supporting IBMS and/or Landmark (preferred, but not essential)
- Experience in large enterprise projects and the media industry
- Proficiency in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues with third-party and in-house developed applications
- Knowledge of application development and testing
- Awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies
