The Opportunity
The David Leckie Seven Scholarship Program has been established in memory of our former Chief Executive Officer, the late David Leckie, who had an unwavering passion for Seven and the TV industry.
Commencing in March 2025, this prestigious paid scholarship program offers a unique opportunity to develop your career within one of Australia’s leading media companies. It will be a rewarding, fun experience that will accelerate your personal and professional development during an exciting time of growth and transformation for Seven.

In this role you will:
- Gain a deeper understanding of the media industry along with invaluable practical experience
- Complete three x four-month rotations across different departments
- Learn the fundamentals of broadcast and digital content production
- Work side by side with senior leaders, subject matter experts, on-air talent and some of the best technical and creative minds in the media industry.

What will the journey look like?
You will experience rotations that will enable you to explore different areas of the business. Rotations may include time spent in:
- New & Current Affairs: You will work across our broadcast and digital News teams, learning interviewing and productions skills and building influential networks.
- Marketing & Programming: Working across our Programming, Consumer, Trade, Social & Digital and Publicity teams, you will assist with visual branding, campaign look and creative treatment of programs, coordinating activations and much more.
- Campaign Management: You will be given the opportunity to contribute to bespoke, creative sales campaigns, developing your commercial and stakeholder management skills.
- Digital: As Seven continues its digital transformation, you will have the opportunity to put your ideas into action by developing, implementing and testing improvements and changes to our growing digital platforms.
In each rotation, you will be supported to make the most of your experience.
We will be accepting applicants nationwide, however, you must be prepared to relocate if required.
