The Opportunity:  

7NEWS.com.au is looking for an experienced Front Page Editor to join our dynamic team, ensuring our audience of more than eight million monthly readers are kept up to date with the latest. 

Based in Sydney and reporting to the 7NEWS.com.au Editor, you will be responsible for managing the website’s homepage.  

As a Front-page Editor, you will have a strong journalistic background and experience editing and selecting stories for a digital audience. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and generating effective content to our audience, including for our social media channels and our newsletter subscribers. The role will include weekend work.

About You:  

You are a dynamic, driven individual with a proven track record working in digital newsrooms or a fast-paced news environment. 

You will have:  

  • Strong editorial judgement and a passion for news.  
  • Excellent writing, editing and content curation skills.  
  • Proven experience with digital content management systems as well as social media and newsletter management tools.  
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritising tasks on tight deadlines.  
  • Comprehensive understanding of SEO best practice and Google. 
  • Keen interest in data and analytics and how trends can help better understand audience preferences.
