About This Role: The Group Sales Manager is responsible for managing and growing the broadcast regional and metro sales revenue from their designated portfolio of Agencies / Clients. The role oversees broadcast Sales Executives and Coordinators looking after both Metro and Regional campaigns directly but works closely with the Digital GSM and Connections Planner across their portfolio to drive cross screen convergent outcomes. The GSM will work closely with the broader Seven Sales teams to develop a high- performance team focused on delivering to State and Network targets across the screens of SWM.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for negotiation and management of local and national broadcast deals across your Agency Portfolio
• Ensuring revenue and share targets are met.
• Manage a clear deal book for your portfolio ensuring deal delivery is in-line with or above network trading requirements to ensure strong yield delivery across your portfolio.
• Build and foster strong relationships with local Agency leads and clients within your designated agencies.
• Work with the State GSM’s to drive a high-performance team focused on our key SWM values with a #bettertogether mentality.
• Work with Sales team members in developing their knowledge and skills with particular emphasis on driving trading excellence across the team.
• Deliver exceptional client service outcomes, innovative thinking, utilization of all SWM assets, and skillful salesmanship. Stay abreast of market trends and conditions.
• Ensure all regulatory and internal SWM guidelines are adhered to and that your team have regular training to ensure knowledge is up to date and processes are followed.
• Work closely with departments within & associated with sales – Revenue Management, Digital, Product, Programming, Production, Central Sales, Partnerships, Marketing to drive best in market service and delivery.
• Conduct yourself in a courteous and professional manner both internally and externally respecting peers & office protocol.

What You Bring:

• Minimum 3-5 years Agency (Trading) & or TV / Digital Sales experience.
• Strong Broadcast & or Digital Media background
• Sales experience working on Agency portfolio’s
• Team leadership – build and develop a cohesive Sales team
• Strong Interpersonal Skills
• Impact and influence
• Strong Sales background and a thorough understanding of broadcast media trading principles
• Ability to write and understand contractual and regulatory documentation
