The Opportunity 

We’re looking for a driven Trading Analyst to join our team, and you will play a strategic role in delivering sustainable growth for Seven Network. You will be responsible for the provision of analysis, insights, trading, yield management, forecasting, and policy decisions to assist senior management and sales staff to optimise revenue. 

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Head of Trading, Trading Managers, Sales Operations, and Commercial Inventory teams, and report directly to the Trading Manager, based at South Eveleigh, Sydney.

What you'll do: 

  • Developing and implementing projects and managing the internal and external communication of these projects.
  • Driving best practice across the SWM business on yield and inventory management, including utilisation of best-in-class platforms, systems, and processes.
  • Identifying underperforming assets across the ecosystem and providing insights and potential solutions to increase revenue.
  • Providing accurate, insightful, and up-to-date reports while monitoring, reporting, and interpreting sales revenue, demand, and forecast information to support sales strategies and policies.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of economic conditions and working with Commercial Inventory Management and team members to find business solutions that maximise revenue and yield outcomes. 

What you'll bring:  

You’re a strong, persuasive communicator, have advanced data analysis skills, and thrive in a dynamic environment. You’ll also have:  

  • Previous experience in advertising, sales, marketing, analytics, and/or media buying, ideally within the Australian media industry.
  • Strong numerical, data analysis, and advanced Excel modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strategic and detail-oriented with sound decision-making and accountability for revenue outcomes.
  • Proactive and flexible, able to identify trends and meet strict deadlines.
