The Opportunity:
As a Trainee Motion Designer at Seven, you will join our collaborative and creative Design Team. If you’re a fresh out-of-study, hands-on, self-driven, resourceful motion designer that can bring any project to life, we’d love to hear from you!
In this rare position, you will have an opportunity to understand and interpret a creative brief, not be afraid to push the boundaries, make intuitive decisions, and be confident in your ability to take initiative while staying on brand. You will have the opportunity to work on designs for Australian TV's biggest brands and sports, commercial client integrations, and standalone commercial briefs for top clients.
Based in Eveleigh, Sydney, and reporting to the Head of Design, you will be responsible for:
- Creating innovative designs and branding for Seven Creative and Red Engine content
- Exploring fresh ways to develop new creative techniques and continually improve the quality and effectiveness of graphic techniques.
- Producing designs for digital marketing, social campaigns, and branded content.
- Contributing to team meetings and working effectively with the wider Seven Creative team to accomplish team and organisational goals.
- Working with the Art Director, Designers, and Creatives in a collaborative environment to create visual branding, campaign look, and creative treatment.
- Learning to interpret the campaign, look across production elements, promotions, marketing, and sales campaigns.
About You:
You’re a passionate and graduate Motion Designer who embodies exceptional interpersonal communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and a creative mindset. With an optimistic and proactive spirit, you will excel in time management and organisation. You’re a self-motivated and results-driven individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
You will have:
- A passion for design and media, is a creative thinker and can come up with fresh idea
- Degree qualified in Media or Graphic Design (or related subject), possessing entry-level skills in motion design.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and MS Office Suite. Experience with Cinema 4D and Redshift Render is advantageous, but not essential.
- A keen eye for branding and typography
- Ability to produce designs across a range of mediums including multi-format print, digital, social and event presentations
- Ability to create mock-ups and storyboards and communicate design ideas and concepts
- Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, a results-driven attitude, and effective time management ability.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within teams on large-scale projects, positively contributing to a shared creative vision.
