The Opportunity: 

As our Personal Assistant in Maroochydore, Queensland, you will be a pivotal force in driving Seven Network's continued success. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the News and Technical Services Team.

In this dynamic role, you will be the go-to person for the News Team and will handle a wide range of administrative tasks. You will work collaboratively with a diverse range of teams, including News Producers, Studio Directors, Journalists, Camera Crews, IT/Engineering, and more.

Reporting to the News Director and Technical Services Manager in Maroochydore, you’ll be responsible for:

  • HR Administration: handling employee paperwork, leave inquiries, contracts and new starter processes, liaising with universities for placement letters and insurance
  • IT Coordination: liaising with IT for logins, mobile phone changes, and technical issues.
  • Travel Management: booking travel arrangements for the news teams, including flights, accommodation, and car hire.
  • Finance and Payroll: processing timesheets, reconciling credit card accounts, and assisting with budget management and payroll inquires
  • Wardrobe and Logistics: managing wardrobe duties, including make-up orders, dry cleaning, & alterations and collaborating with the production team to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Equipment and Facilities: coordinating safety equipment, vehicle maintenance, and stationery supplies.
  • Database Management: maintaining databases for various administrative purposes, including electricity usage and site information.
  • Communications and Coordination: liaising with various departments and individuals to ensure smooth operations.

About You: 

You are an experienced Administration/ Personal Assistant with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility, compassion, and a detail-oriented nature. You will be able to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders and with a high degree of proactiveness and initiative. 

You will have:

  • Proven administration and/or Personal Assistant experience 
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook). 
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing demands. 
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative while maintaining a high standard of performance. 
  • Experience with finance systems (preferred, but not essential) 
  • Experience working in the media industry (desirable but not essential) 
  • Knowledgeable of CIA or Technology1, Microsoft Access, Preceda, and Concur.
