Seven West Media WA is currently looking for a passionate, self-motivated and experienced HSE and Injury Management Advisor to join our busy team.  Working across all aspects of our business and reporting to the Group Manager for HSE, this position is pivotal to the successful implementation of our HSE and Injury Management systems and embedding a strong safety culture across the business. 

This challenging opportunity requires the successful applicant to:

  • Provide practical fit for purpose HSE advice and support to the business to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and legislative requirements
  • Assist with the identification and management of hazards, conduct risk assessments/audits and  help implement controls to reduce risk
  • Assist with best practice development and maintenance of injury management programs including return to work plans, fitness for work and stakeholder engagement
  • Coordinate and process workers compensation claims, medical appointments/certificates/reports, employer reports, accounts and wage reimbursements

Provide coaching and support to staff and managers on best practice and ways to improve overall safety culture.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • A Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety or a related degree or relevant broad based HSE experience
  • Minimum 4 years in a HSE role with involvement in injury management and worker’s compensation management
  • A detailed understanding of relevant HSE and Worker’s Compensation legislation and regulations in Western Australia
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective Interpersonal skills across all stakeholder levels  
  • Ability to problem solve and provide solutions to issues
  • Able to manage conflicting priorities and work across multiple projects;
  • Flexibility
  • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft suite
  • Experience with INX ‘In Control’ module
