The Opportunity:
As an Advance Format Planner at Seven, you will play a pivotal role in the behind-the-scenes operations of broadcast media, setting the stage for a dynamic career in the industry.
In this role, you will ensure that commercial, promotional, and exempt NPC avails are accurately maintained. You'll work closely with TX Scheduling, Sports Production, Sports Sales, Revenue Management, News, Commercial Inventory, and Promo Scheduling to align scheduling needs across departments—all while upholding the Free TV Code of Practice with precision.
Based in Eveleigh, Sydney, and reporting to the Head of Programming Operations. You will:
- Creating and maintaining On-air broadcast formats across Seven Channels (7, 7TWO, 7mate, and 7flix), ensuring smooth scheduling.
- Coordinating with multiple departments to align program formats with advertising, promotions, and sports coverage.
- Ensuring legal compliance, making sure all commercial, promotional, and non-program content adheres to regulations.
- Managing broadcast schedules, ensuring program start and end times align with Seven Network’s policies.
- Checking accuracy in break structures and on-air elements to maintain seamless programming.
- Thriving in a fast-moving environment, where your skills will directly impact what audiences see on screen.
About You:
You are an experienced Advance Format Planner with exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural ability to communicate effectively. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach make you an invaluable part of any team. You are motivated, passionate, and optimistic, always bringing a flexible and adaptable mindset to a fast-paced broadcast environment. A collaborative team player, you thrive on innovation and problem-solving, ensuring smooth and efficient planning processes.
You will have:
- A passion for TV, a flexible mindset, and the ability to build strong relationships while quickly adapting to business priorities.
- Previous experience in a similar role is ideal.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with the ACMA Free TV Code of Practice.
- Knowledge of IBMS is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
