Electrician: preventative and reactive maintenance
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our Engineering Services Team as an Electrical Technician. As part of your role, you will work with the wider maintenance team to keep the machines at our Seven West Media facility running at 100 percent.
You will embrace the dynamic rhythm of a 12-hour rotating 3 shift schedule, spanning every day of the week. Occasionally, you’ll find yourself working 4 shifts per week, each lasting 9.5 hours. These shifts can compromise of morning, intermediate or night shifts.
To be successful you must possess:
- WA Electrical licence
- Ability to work on a rotating shift pattern comprising mostly of 12 hr shifts with a 3 day week. Some 4 x 9.5hr shifts will also be required
- A comprehensive understanding of electrical safety procedures and relevant electrical Australian Standards
- Demonstrated and well-developed electrical/mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills in a high speed manufacturing environment
- Competent understanding of electrical schematics, isolation and permitting systems
- Experience with PLC’s, SCADA, Building Management systems and networking protocols including proficiency in diagnostics and fault finding
- Well-developed time management and problem-solving skills
- A customer focus with strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
Desirable attributes:
- Flexibility to work on a rotating roster inclusive of 3-4 shifts per week where weekend work and shift coverage will be required
- Certificate IV in Instrumentation and Control or similar demonstrated capabilities
- Workplace experience with IT networks and hardware
- HV Switching Ticket
- Experience with robotic and automated systems such as printing equipment, packaging equipment, Laser Guided Vehicles, Palletisers
- Competence with computerised maintenance management systems (MEX)
- Previous experience working in a print manufacturing facility
